When creating new Companies and their associated Contacts, iinsight automatically checks several elements to ensure no unnecessary duplication occurs.
Unique Company Name
The first of these is against the Company Name. This value needs to be unique and 2 companies with the same name cannot exist in your companies address book.
Contact Name
Within a specific Company, if a Contact is found to already exist that has the same First and Last Name, the user will be warned and a list of the existing contacts provided for review prior to proceeding.
Contact Phone Number
If a the Phone 1, Phone 2 or Mobile number is found to match any existing contact with in your Companies area address book, the user will be warned and a list of contacts provided where this number is already used to make sure they wish to proceed.
Contact Email Address
Just as with the Contact's phone number, if the Email address is found to match any existing contact with in your Companies area address book, the user will be warned and a list of contacts provided where this email is used, to make sure they wish to proceed.
