On your iinsight platform via the Admin > Manage Fields area you have the flexibility to modify the layout of case fields, create custom fields, and adjust the New Case window layout and requirements based on each Service Contract. In addition, Admin / HR "Additional Info" fields can also be customised.
Creating New Case Field "Layouts"
New field "Layouts" can be created in the by clicking the +New button at the top left of the table:
This will open the New Layout window where you will need to enter following information:
βLayout Name
This is the name of the layout
βEnabled checkbox
This will determine f the layout is enabled so able to be assigned to Service Contracts and control the fields on your cases.
Default checkbox
If enabled this will set the layout as the default layout assigned to any new Service Contracts created.
Once entered, click Ok to create the layout.
In addition to creating a layout from scratch, you can clone an existing Layout by first selecting the layout in the list in the right panel, and then click the Clone button at the top left:
The name of an existing layout can be modified using the Edit button, and an existing layout can be deleted using the Delete button.

Please note that if a layout is in use on any Service Contract(s) it will not be able to be deleted.
Modifying Case Field positions
Fields within a layout can be set under the corresponding case area tabs at the top of the right panel. The case areas which fields can be modified in are the Client (Person), Client (Company), Case, Case Additional, Contacts and Goals tabs:
To move a field to a different position in the layout, you just need to drag and drop the associated field in the view:
Fields can be disabled in the layout by clicking the disable π icon which appears at the top right of the field when you hover your mouse over it:
Fields can also have several other properties modified by clicking the edit π icon which appears at the top right of the field when you hover your mouse over it:
For platform "standard" fields, you can modify the following field properties:
βEnable checkbox
This determines if the field is enabled or disabled in the layout.
Required checkbox
This determines if the field is required upon case closure
Field Width
Allows you to set the column width properties
For custom fields additional properties can be modified. Please see the section below on Adding Custom Fields more information on these.
When you have finished making changes, click Save current layout at the top right of the window to apply the changes to the layout:
Adding Custom Fields
Custom fields for your own unique data points can be created under each section outlined above by using the +Field button at the top right of the window.
IMPORTANT: please note any custom fields created exist globally on your platform and will be able to be utilised in all layout views, and no not need to be created uniquely per layout.
This will open the New Field window where you can select from the following options to determine the field type and properties:
Field type
This will determine the "type" of field to be added. Field types available are text, dropdown, date, checkbox, multi-select dropdown, multi-line text box, time, multi checkbox, labels, blank space.
Field name
This determines the name of the field to be shown. For "label" field types this will be the text displayed for the label. For "blank space" field types this will be for internal reference only.
βEnable checkbox
This determines if the field is enabled or disabled in the layout.
Required checkbox
This determines if the field is required upon case closure
Field Width
Allows you to set the column width properties
Template variable name
Allows you to set the custom variable to be used to populate the field data into your various iinsight templates (e.g. Document templates).
Text Type (only available for text fields)
Allows you to set the type/format of data to be input into the field from text, email, number, float, currency, phone.
Values (only available for dropdown/multi-checkbox fields)
Allows you to set the dropdown list / checkbox names for the field.
The position, enabled state and properties of a custom field can be edited in the same way as outlined for the "standard" fields, however custom fields, so long as no case data is held against them, can also be deleted by clicking the bin π icon which appears at the top right of the field when you hover your mouse over it:
Setting the New Case window
The New Case creation window fields and stages can be set under the New Case tab for each layout:
The different "stages" of the new case window can be set and determined using the tabs and buttons at the top left of the panel:
New stages can be added by clicking the blue + icon:
Where available, existing stage titles can be modified by clicking the edit π icon to the top right of the stage tab:

βIMPORTANT: please note the "Case (individual)", "Case (Company)", "Contacts" and "Save" stages title cannot be modified as these are predetermined by the platform.
And the position of the stage in the new case creation window can be changed by dragging and dropping it in the view:

The fields required for each stage can be added by first selecting the stage you wish to modify:
And then clicking the +Field button at the top right of the window:
This will open the Add Field to New Case Window where either you can select from a case field that exists in the layout from the Fields tab, or to create a "Label" or "Blank Space" field from the Other tab:
Please note that fields can only be used once in the New Case process, and cannot exist in multiple stages.
The same ability to position the fields, edit the properties, or delete them from the stage is available as in other sections via drag drop, the edit π or bin π icons respectively on the fields.

Once your changes have been made to a stage click Save current stage layout to apply the changes:
Linking field layouts to Service Contracts
Setting the field Layout that should be applied to any Case file under a specific Service Contract, can be performed in the Charges > Service Contracts area:
By selecting the appropriate Field Layout under the Options tab in the right contract settings panel:
Once selected, all cases assigned to that service contract will follow the field and new case creation layout settings.
Setting the Admin / HR fields
The fields and layout that is applied to the Admin > Manage Users > Additional info tab:
Are set in the Admin > Manage Fields area, under the Admin/HR fields tab found at the top left of the window:
