We are very pleased to announce the release of the new iinsight 5.0.5.

The leaves may have fallen off the trees but we are not falling behind the times as we have more exciting new features for you!

The main highlights of this new release are as below:

  • New Client Name field for invoice run.

  • Case List Report Feature - Additional Field for Employer Postcode.

  • New Service Contract Field in the Cost Window

  • New Billing Field Feature

New ‘Client Name’ field for Invoice Run

When you perform your Invoice run you may be pleased to know that we have created a new field called ‘Client Name’ as per the below screenshot:

We are pleased to advise that we have now added a new field for the Case List Report called ‘Employer Postcode’ as we know some clients will find this useful. Please see below screenshot:

New Service Contract Field in Cost Window

There is a new permission available under ‘User Modify’ menu to be able to modify a previous cost’s associated Service Contract as per the below screenshot:

As a default, this permission is disabled and is only available if assigned. If you have the required permission you can edit the Service Contract of an uninvoiced cost.

Please note you may only modify any past or current Service Contract previously used in that case as per below screenshot:

Service Contract of a New Cost

When you initially add a new cost the Service Contract is greyed out (read only) and is the current case’s service contract.

New Billing Field Feature

We have merged Standard Charge Codes and Plan fields together so they are all available in the drop down list for Billing as shown in the previous image. Therefore, selecting the correct charge is a simpler task as all options are shown in only one drop down box.

Please note that this also applies to Timesheets and Finance costs tab also.

It is important that the appropriate Costs settings in the Charges menu are selected as this will affect how it displays in the billing field as per the below example:

Create a New Billing

When you create new costs with a plan they will now only show the current plan costs as per the below screenshot:

In the above example, only plan billings are available. The next image shows another example with all Billing types:

Change Plan of a Given Cost/Edit an Existing Uninvoiced Billing

Previously you were only able to only use the same plan when changing a cost, however, since this new iinsight version 5.0.5 you are now able to change uninvoiced costs to a different plan as per the above screenshot. Please note you are able to still select greyed out fields.

Please be aware that the Billing drop down list is subject to the Service Contract that you select, this also applies to clients that use roles.
