1) Go to the Downloads folder on your PC and find an iinsight .iin file. These will just have a name that is a string of numbers such as “123456612.iin”. If you cannot find a .iin file, log into your iinsight system and try to use “Open Doc” on a Word document on a case (please note it must not be a “Approved” document), and this should download a new file for you to be able to continue the process.
2) Right Click on the .iin file and select "Open With > Choose another app":
This will most likely incorrectly state that the file is trying to open with MS Word by default.
3) Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list provided and select "Choose an app on your PC":
4) Navigate to the following folder on your "C:" drive:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Be software\iinsight\add-on
5) Select the "iinsightIInLauncher.exe" file and click "Open":
6) Make sure that the iinsight add-on application is now showing as the "Default app", and click Always:
IMPORTANT: If the .iin file selected in stage 2 was recent it may now open the file. If this occurs please close this without making any changes, nor saving, as it will have a live link to the document on your iinsight® system so any modifications made will edit the file. If the .iin file was old it will fail to load however this is ok as the file association changes will have been saved.
When you next log into iinsight® and use the "Open Doc" feature everything should now open correctly.
