Resolution for known Microsoft Reported Bug regarding Emailing Documents using Outlook 2016

We wanted to bring to your attention a known Microsoft issue that is affecting users trying to use the ‘Email’ button (below) in Outlook 2016 and how you fix this issue.

When you email a document in iinsight using Outlook 2016 – it looks like the document has been emailed successfully but the recipient receives the attachment only and the text in the body of the email disappears.

This is a known Microsoft issue for Outlook 2016, but there’s a workaround for this:

You can turn off cache exchanged mode in Outlook 2016 as per the below Link to Microsoft Support:

For your convenience the Resolution for this issue is documented below::

Un-checking “Use Cache Exchange Mode” will solve the problem.

In Outlook 2016 you select File/Account Settings as below:

Then select the Email tab/then Change (marked with arrows below):

Then in the Advanced tab below please un-checkUse Cached Exchange Mode’ as below:

Then restart Outlook - this resolves the issue.

There might be a decrease in Outlook performance for users who have an account with a very large number of emails.
