New invoice variables & assessment grouping requirements, requested by insurance companies including. Suncorp Insurance

Be Software have created some new Invoice Template Variables as requested by Insurance Companies including Suncorp Insurance to meet their Invoice requirements.

The new Invoice Template Variables are as below:

We added 3 new variables:

1) We already had ‘plan.expiry.date’ and we added ‘plan.start.date’.
2) We added ‘plan.dates’ to be "<start date> to <expiry date>".
3) We added ‘plan.billed.to.date’ and ‘plan.paid.to.date’.

To add these new Invoice Template variables to your existing Invoice Template you can do this by going to Options/Templates/Edit/Highlight the required Invoice Template/’Enable’ the required new fields and select ‘OK’ as shown above:

Invoice Grouping Options

Be Software have also created some new Invoice Grouping Options as requested by Insurance Companies including Suncorp to meet their Invoice requirements.

To enable grouping of assessment activities on Invoices you need to go to Charges>Service Contracts and select the relevant Service Contract where invoice grouping is required.

As shown in the below image to Group Activities/Items, this is enabled by selecting the Single Invoice Row checkbox. When an invoice is printed and this selection exists. It will group any costs added (during the period being invoiced) that have the exact same “Description” (Activity/Item Standard List) and “Charge Code” (Charge Code) into a single line on the invoice. All other activities/items without the Single Invoice Row checkbox selected will appear on their own line in the invoice as has always been the functionality.

Important Note: Costs added (during the period being invoiced) must have the exact same “Description” and “Charge Code” to group together in a single line on the invoice.
