When creating a new user, default case list fields are now available in a more user friendly order.
New field in the Case List called Last Date of Service Charged.
Billable Units Changes.
New Business Division Feature
From version 5.0.8 and onwards, there will be no need to contact us to add a new Business Division. There is a very handy new feature to be able to add your own Business Divisions. In the Charges menu, please click on the new Business Division button as shown below, then type in the required Business Division Name and a short Business Division Prefix, as per the below screenshot example highlighted with arrows:
Please note if you need to Edit or Delete the Business Division you still need to contact iinsight Support.
Clone Invoice Template Feature
From version 5.0.8 and forward, there is no need to contact us to clone an invoice template. There is now a new Clone Invoice Template feature which will be extremely useful for clients who wish to have a new Invoice Template similar to an existing Invoice Template but with a new name and perhaps need one or more fields enabled/disabled as required.
Cloning an invoice template is an easy task: go to the Options Menu/Invoice Templates Button and then highlight an existing Invoice template you wish to clone. Then, select the Clone button as shown below marked with arrows:
After you have selected Clone, you need to give the Invoice Template a name as shown below and you may then disable or enable any fields you require to be excluded/included different to the template you cloned it from then select OK.
New Amber Colour for Suspended Cases
We now have a new Amber colour for Suspended cases which will make them easily identifiable as per below example:
When reopening a closed case as ‘a new case based on the existing file’ the opened date will be “the date when the case is reopened” not the date the case was originally opened.
When a case has been closed and it is reopened:
The opened date will be the ‘the date when the case is reopened’ not the date the case was originally opened as per below example:
When creating a new user, default case list fields are now available
This is a nice time saver when you are creating new users under Admin/Manage Users. Now when a newly created user logs in and views the Case List, Fields are in a much more intuitive and user friendly order. This will minimalise if not totally exclude the need for any required editing of fields when adding new users to the system.
New field in the Case list called Last Date of service Charged
There is a new field in the Case list called Last Date of Service Charged as below:
This is the date of the most recently added cost for the case.
Billable Units Changes
Some IINSIGHT users add activities in amounts of 5 or 10 minutes. As an example, some insurers require in the service contract that services are provided in amounts of 5 minutes. In this example, 5 minutes is called the unit rate. Version 5.0.8 intends to make it easier adding activities that are multiple of a given amount of time.
Setting up unit rates in a service contract is an easy task. When creating a new Service Contract on the Charges menu or amending anexisting Service Contract, the Billable Unit Rate in Minutes can be set as required (Please see below screenshot highlighted with an arrow)
Please Note if this rate is left as 0 the default unit rate is automatically set to 6 minutes.
When adding or editing an activity cost, the option of using ‘Duration’ or ‘Units’ can be easily switched by selecting the required choice using a radio button as shown below:
‘Duration’ Option:
The Duration field continues to be exactly as it is currently:
‘Duration’ can accept various time formats to be entered (e.g. 1:00, :30, 02:30, etc)
‘Duration’ can accept numbers to be entered, for example:
1 => 01:00 (1 Hour)
1.5 => 01:30 (1 Hour 30 Minutes)
‘Units’ Option:
Units can only accept integer numbers to be entered and not float numbers (eg. 1.2, 0.5, etc) as half units or 0.2 unit is invalid.
1=> 1 unit (If unit rate = 6 min, the duration equals 00:06)
10 => 10 units (If unit rate = 6 min, the duration equals 01:00)
Units cannot accept the time format to be entered (e.g. 1:00 is invalid, 0:30 is invalid)
