To add a document template to the Templates section and enable it to be used by Cases follow this procedure:
Create your document using the iinsight Microsoft Office add-on, and add the variable fields in the document as required.
In the Templates menu click New, enter a name, description and select the file then click upload.
To enable these documents to be used by your case managers, add them to the service contract your case managers are using.
In the Charges menu, select your service contract, click on the templates tab, select the Documents tab within this tab then click Add:
All files in the Templates List will be displayed, Select the document you added earlier and click Finish to add this file to the service contract making it available in the Case List > Documents tab for any case using that service contract.
Now the document just added should appear in the document list when creating a new document in the Documentation Tab of the Case List:
In the Documentation tab of the Case using the service contract, you added the document template to, click New:
Now select the document from the list and click Create new document:
The document should now appear in the documentation tab document list, Select the document and click 'Open Doc' to open and view the document.
If the Template contained iinsight variables the document should now be populated with the information contained in this case as per the below example:
Using 'Open Doc' will open the document and saving any changes will save changes to this document on iinsight.
Note: To add new variables; you must do this from the document template and delete the old document from the documentation tab in the case.
