Client Tab
Updated over 12 months ago

The 'Client Tab' contains details regarding the identity, address and contact details of the case's client. This information can be both viewed and edited directly, and if any modification is required, the user can simply enter the new details into the relevant field before clicking the 'Save' button. The information stored within this tab is available to use as a reference, as well as to ensure that generated documents and invoices are pre-populated with accurate content.

The available information is structured according to whether the selected case is a company, or personal case as detailed below.

Company cases require little information outside of contact details, as they do not track a single specific injury or claim.

  • First Name

The client tab is slightly more complex in the circumstance of a personal case, as it contains information relating to the client's employment and the nature of their claim. These differences are explained below.

In addition to the general information above, there are more fields:

  • Medicare No:

The number is contained on the client's Medicare card.

  • Medicare Expiry date:

A drop-down menu of the client's Medicare expiry date.

  • Primary Psychological Claim

This checkbox will indicate if the nature of the claim or injury is primarily psychological in nature (for example, a stress-related illness), rather than a physical injury.

  • Primary Physical Claim

This checkbox will indicate if the nature of the claim or injury is primarily physical in nature (for example, an injury brought about by a fall, or poor ergonomics), rather than being a psychological claim. It is important to note that a claim can be declared both psychological and physical in nature - for example, the claim may be labeled as primarily psychological and physical if a physical injury leads to stress and anxiety-related issues.

  • Nature of Injury

The injury or other condition which is the basis of the client's claim.

  • Diagnosed Injury

The actual injury as diagnosed by the practitioner or treating doctor.

  • Cause

  • Occurred

The date on which the client's injury occurred. In the circumstance of a slowly progressing injury or psychological claim, this date indicates the point in time at which it reached a level of severity that warrants the lodgement of a claim.
