Workflows Overview

The 'Workflow' menu is accessed from the top navigation bar and is used to define and administer case management operational procedures and policies within iinsight.

The Workflow list opens in the left-hand pane and allows the user to:

  • view a workflow

  • search the list of all workflows

  • view summary workflow details in the right-hand pane which can be viewed and/or edited.

Note that all Workflow messages will be displayed in the Message Centre - refer to the Message Centre section for more details.

The Workflow functionality is accessed through the interface controls detailed below.

New

Used to create a new workflow - this process is covered in detail under 'Creating a new workflow'

Delete

Clicking 'Delete' will prompt the user for confirmation before removing the selected workflow from the Iinsight system.

View Workflow

Clicking 'View Workflow' will open the currently selected workflow to be viewed in detail. This will also allow the user to make any required modifications to its contents or the processes that it defines.

The Search Field

Users can use a search filter to view only selected workflows - useful if there are many workflows listed.

The Criterion Dropdown

Allows the user to define a condition for filtering the search. For example, if this dropdown is set to 'Service Contract', clicking 'Find' will filter the list to include only those workflows associated with a service contract which matches the text entered in the search field.

Find

Filters the currently displayed workflow list according to the query and condition set by the Search Field and Criterion Dropdown.

Fields Edit

This button is used to determine the information columns and their order to be displayed for each entry shown in the workflow list.
