Charges Overview

The Charge List allows the administrator to view, edit and delete charges in the form of activities and items, as well as the service contracts in which they are grouped. This interface is split into two distinct areas, with the left hand pane responsible for the display of the service contracts stored within the iinsight system (as in the below example):

Charges and categories that these service contracts contain are displayed within the right-hand pane (as in the example below):

Selecting a charge or a service contract will display the complete associated information in the far right-hand pane.

This interface is manipulated through the controls detailed below.

  • Delete

Clicking the 'Delete' button will prompt the user for confirmation before removing the selected service contract or charge from the Iinsight system.

Note: that all activities and items must be removed before the service contract can be deleted.

An alternative option is to "disable" the service contract which maintains the data in the system for the audit trail but removes the ability to add or view these service contracts, activities, and items from the initial selection when adding a new case.

Uncheck the "Enable/Disable Service Contract checkbox to disable the service contract.

  • Service Contract

Clicking 'Service Contract' will open the Create Service Contract interface, which is used to add a new service contract to the Iinsight system. This process is covered in detail under 'Service Contract Management'.

  • Activity

Clicking 'Activity' will open the Create Activity interface, which is used to add a new activity to the Iinsight system. This process is covered in detail under 'Creating Activities and Items'.

  • Item

Clicking 'Item' will open the Create Item interface, which is used to add a new item to the Iinsight system. This process is covered in detail under 'Creating Activities and Items'.

  • Business Division

Filters the charge list to only include entries related to the specified business division.

  • The Search Field

The search field is filled by the user in order to define the information based on which the service contract or activity/item list will be filtered.

  • The Criterion Dropdown

The 'Criterion Dropdown' allows the user to define the condition based on which the service contract or activity/item list will be filtered when they search. For example, if this dropdown is set to 'Activity/Item', clicking 'Find' will filter the activity/item list to only include those entries with a title that matches the text entered in the search field.

  • Find

Clicking 'Find' will filter the currently displayed service contract list or activity/item list according to the query and condition set by the Search Field and Criterion Dropdown.
