‘Your Company Knowledgebase’ feature
There is a really exciting new feature available called ‘Your Company Knowledgebase’ located under the Help Icon as below:
This new feature allows administrators to share documentation across the organisation. For example, standards, procedures and manuals in a format of word documents, audio or video can be uploaded by an administrator and are accessible to all users.
After clicking on ‘Your Company Knowledgebase’ you will be presented with a new window:
An administrator can upload Videos in MP4V and MP4 formats, upload Music files in MP3 format and upload numerous other documents including Word, Excel, PDF, Text Files etc. Audio and video files can be streamed directly from iinsight.
As in the above M4V file example, when employees highlight a document from the list, they are presented with a preview screen which can be viewed/played by selecting the ‘Open File’ button.
Please also see the below example of the Preview screen for Word Format:

It is possible to add 1 or more documents at a time as there is an innovative ‘Multi Files’ Upload window available when you select ‘New’ as shown in the below screenshot:
This is really useful and allows you to drag files directly from your desktop or select the ‘Browse for Files’ button and select the file/s from the location you saved them in on your computer. When you have selected all the files you wish to add, you then need to select Upload Files and then Close to finish adding the files to ‘Your Company Knowledgebase’.
If you select the Delete button you will receive the below warning:
The Details button enables you to give your document a Title and Description or amend an existing document’s Title and/or Description.
Users wishing to modify the documentation need to gain permission that can be granted via the Admin/Manage Users/User Modify section of iinsight as shown below under the heading ‘Organisations Knowledgebase’permission to Add/Edit/Delete/Company Document :
New ‘Profitability Calculation’ available to report Employee Profitability
There is a new ‘Profitability Calculation’ available to report Employee Profitability, for example, suppose that you have an activity that is billed at a rate of $100 per hour ex GST, however, your employee is paid $70 per hour - It is now possible to set up iinsight to report the profitability per employee.
For this feature to work, employee hourly wages have to be set up through User Admin so iinsight can calculate profitability. The new profitability calculation is shown in existing Billings by Employee Reports. The profitability can be calculated for all billings added after employee hourly wages are set up.
Under the Admin/Manage Users/User Details section of iinsight there are 2 new fields ‘Hourly Rate’ and ‘Apply GST’ as shown in the below screenshot:
There is also a new tab Under Admin/Manage Users/User Rates:
Adding a User Rate can be performed 2 different ways, either select ‘New’ under the User Rates tab and adding in the hourly rate and if including GST checking ‘Apply GST’ then OK as below (this is for an individual new rate):
Or you may select the Add Rates Button under the Admin/Manage Users section as shown below:
When the Add Rates button is selected the following screen is displayed, you may just change a single rate that you highlight or can do a batch update in one go:
Once the new hourly rate is added the ‘Date to Commence’ from can be added for the current date or a future date and ‘GST’ can be added if required by clicking the checkbox for ‘Apply GST’ shown above.
Please see below example after a new rate added for the current day:
When you have finished adding any other new rates you then select the Save Rates button:
After selecting Save Rates your new rates are confirmed as below:
