Costs Tab
Updated over 8 months ago

The 'Costs Tab' offers search and administration functionality for cost records associated with the currently selected case. The interface controls are detailed below.

  • The 'Delete' Button

Removes the currently selected cost from the Iinsight system.

  • The 'Billing' Button

Opens the New Billing window, which is used to add a new activity or item cost to the iinsight system, and which is associated with the currently selected case.

  • The 'Edit' Button

Used to edit the currently selected cost, should an error have been made in entering this information, or if the information associated with this cost has changed since it was entered.

  • The Search Interface

Comprised of the 'Search Terms Box', the 'Condition Filter Drop-Down' and the 'Find' button, these three interface controls are used together to determine a specific criteria and to filter the entire costs list according to this condition.

  • The 'Fields Edit' button

This button is used to determine the fields displayed for each cost currently shown in the costs list.

  • The 'Print' button

The print screen provides a Cost Report generated either by report type, date range or the selected invoices.

  • The 'Select All' and the 'Exclude All' buttons

These are used for Contractor Invoicing functionality and printing out a range of "selected costs". Costs can also be selected individually by clicking on the "Selected" checkbox. If this doesn't appear on your screen, go to Fields Edit and "enable".

Note: iinsight saves an individual user's preferred sorting preferences. To ensure that the latest costs are displayed first, a user will need to sort the costs once. The system will remember this preference and continue to display the same sorting setting in the future. Activities and Items are ordered by date and time.

The Cost Icons:

All Costs that have not been invoiced yet.

Cost has been invoiced; when a $ appears as well, payment has been received.

High-priority costs are those Activities and Items marked as invoice immediately, for example same day services.

Milestone costs indicate a stage has been reached where the billing can proceed. By checking this option, it will include the milestone cost and all previous uninvoiced costs.
