Email Doc Enhancements
The Email Doc area in the Case List/Documentation Tab has had some amazing new enhancements:
The Email Doc window is now much bigger and wider resulting in easy viewing of Documents:
When you select Email Doc and the Email displays - it can now be populated with the Email Addresses of any contacts in the Case as either the “To” or the “CC” of the Email:
Auto scroll has replaced pagination and the refreshing is extremely quick when you select multiple documents.
Further Email Doc enhancements will be available in a future release.
Signature Feature
There are 2 x new fields/buttons in all the +Billing windows (Kilometers field and Add Signature button) (Exportable in Timesheet and Case Notes areas):
Finance Menu/Costs Tab/+Billing button:
Please Note: Entering Numeric Text in the new Kilometres field (as in the example shown above as ’10’ Kilometres) will not add an additional billing entry for “Travel” from the “Travel” Activities/Items within the Service Contract.
If your organisation is currently entering 2 x +Billing entries for an offsite client meeting, this process will still remain the same.
For example: 1 x +Billing entry for an Initial Appointment and 1 x +Billing entry for “Travel”.
After selecting the Add Signature button the following Window appears to enable you to enter your signature:
This is also available in the following areas:
2. Timesheet Menu/+Billing button (EXPORTED BILLINGS – Include Kilometres data and Signature Image)
3. Case List/+Billing button
4. Case List/Costs Tab/+Billing button (EXPORTED CASE NOTES – Include Signature Image)
Add Signature:
When the ‘Add Signature’ button is clicked the below new window will appear:
Clear Signature:
If you select the ‘Clear Button’ the signature is removed as per the below example:
Case Notes
You can add a signature to the Case List/Case Notes/+New window as below. The signature exports if Case Notes are exported.
Also, for any +Billing added via the above +Billing windows – the Case Note and corresponding signature is added to the Case List/Case Notes/+New window where the case notes from +Billing are stored.
Timesheet Menu
TIMESHEET Export:
The Timesheet shows 2 x new columns for ‘Kilometres’ and ‘Signature’.
This data is also ‘exportable’:
The Cost ID Field is now available in the Finance Menu/Costs Tab
The Cost ID Field is now available in the Finance menu/Costs tab and is ‘Exportable’ to Excel (you may have to enable the field in ‘Fields Edit’):
Case List Advanced Search Filter Feature
The Case List now has an advanced search filter feature which adheres to the existing permission surrounding the ability to create ‘Organisational Views.’ Additionally, this new feature will allow a user to also edit any existing ‘Organisational Views.’ Previously users were only able to ‘Save’ a View based on a single search criterion.
The Advanced Search Filter Feature will now allow a user to ‘Save’ a View with multiple Search Criteria selected – and if desired change this view should the requirement of the business change in the future.
The following improvements were also made:
Clear & Search buttons moved to the top of the search panel.
Clear button will clear the search contents not search criteria and initiate a new search based on the user’s main filter selection.
Pressing the Enter button will trigger a search to take place.
The search criteria will reset once a selection has been made.
Search preferences will be remembered/retained until modified again.
Clicking the bin icon will initiate a new search based on remaining criteria.
There is a Pin icon in the top right-hand panel of the search for users wanting to keep the search panel open:
We would also encourage to look into using Organisational Views as this can provide some real efficiencies for commonly made search criteria.
Save View as Organisational View:
Administrators who have the permission to ‘Modify Organisational Views’ (via Admin/Manage Users/User Modify tab):
Can ‘Save’ Views as an Organisational View:
If a user does not have the permission to create/modify Organisational Views – they can still create their own ‘Views’ which will only be available to them, however, they will also have the ability to ‘Save’ a View with multiple Search Criteria selected:
'Organisational Views’ and ‘My Views’
Drag and Drop Emails from Outlook directly into the iinsight Case List without the Outlook Addon
You can now Drag and Drop an email straight from Outlook to the left-hand pane of the iinsight Case List without using the Outlook Addon using Google Chrome/Edge Browser/Opera Browser on Windows Pc’s and on Safari Browser only for Mac.
This will be particularly useful for Outlook 365 users who have had problems dragging and dropping emails into iinsight since Microsoft made some changes to the functionality of Outlook 365.
Once the email is dragged into the left-hand side of the Case List the ‘Multi Document Upload’ Button opens in a newly enhanced format as below:
Ability to drag emails directly from Outlook to Case Notes (both in the + Billing window Case Notes area and the + New Case Notes window) (Text only)
You can also now drag emails directly from Outlook to Case Notes (without using an addon) both in the + New Case Notes Window:
And the Case Notes area of the + Billing Window:

Save as Draft" & "Submit" draft costs within the Timesheet module
