Summary
Our application experienced an outage between approximately 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm, during which the service was unavailable for all users.

What Happened
The outage was caused by a technical issue within our database platform, which prevented the application from functioning normally. A gap in our monitoring delayed detection of the issue and extended the time to recovery.

Resolution
Our engineering team identified and resolved the underlying database problem, restoring full service at approximately 5:30 pm.

Next Steps / Preventative Actions
We are conducting a full review of our monitoring and alerting across the platform to ensure similar issues are detected and addressed more rapidly in the future.
